ATTRACTION DETAILS
This temple teems with shady trees and small, wild animals: pheasant, red jungle fowl, birds, squirrels, tree shrews, common wild pigs and more. Covering around 64 acres of land, the temple is also home to one of Thailand's most revered monks, Phra Achan Maha Bua Yannasampanno, who is a follower of Phra Achan Man Phurithatto, the late Buddhist master.
As the compound is tranquil and quiet, it has become a popular insight meditation (Vipassana) spot for many Thais.
The temple is located in Tambon Ban Tat. To get there, take Highway No. 2 (Udon Thani-Khon Kaen) and make a right turn at Ban Kong Keng and proceed for 9 kilometers.
